I love the simplicity of these doors, but I’m not sure if they will be worth the cost.
The doors are 4.5″ thick and painted steel. The panels also each have a metal frame, a decorative panel on the top, and a metal panel on the bottom. They are made of stainless steel and the door frames are reinforced. The doors cost $80.
The good news is that the door frames look cheap, but the panels are really sturdy and will stay in for a long time. It’s not like they could be knocked off or bent, but they could easily break or be bent if something happens to them.
My only problem with them is that they aren’t heavy enough to support a heavy door like the one on Deathloop. Maybe I’m just lucky, but I had several doors on my house that needed a lot of support and they were all heavy enough to hold them.
I’ve actually been thinking about replacing mine with a door that looks like a standard door with the same weight as a standard door. Its not a perfect solution though, because it would take up space on the wall, and I’d have to find something to replace them with. Hopefully a new door will be coming out this fall find more.
The fact is that if you’re willing to spend the extra money to invest in the best quality materials, you can find the best quality doors at many of the top building supply stores. They are usually made from some sort of composite material that is stronger (and less likely to crack) than standard wood.
You can also spend the money on a quality door that is built to last. If you do, you can expect the door to last a lifetime, which is a pretty good deal in my opinion.
